I Hope You Never Got Your Zodiac Symbol Tattooed

So how the ancient Babylonians found out peoples zodiac signs, it was based on the constellation the sun was in on the day an individual was born. However throughout the many many years, the moon’s gravitational pull has made earth fluctuate around its axis. This has resulted in adding another month to the stars alignment.

So my birthday is February 26th, which always meant I was a Pisces (sensitive, humane and idealistic) now means I am an Aquarius (friendly, loyal and inventive).

Personally I think astrology is crap and all the horoscopes are so vague and generic that the readings, no matter the sign, can relate to everyone somehow. However I have been reading different polls and according to live science.com 25 percent of people actually believe in astrology, despite its total lack of scientific evidence. What I mean is there is absolutely no evidence that the stars or the day someone was born has any affect on the way someone acts.

The new zodiac sign is called Ophiuchus.

The new zodiac dates and signs are below.

Capricorn: Jan. 20-Feb. 16.

Aquarius: Feb. 16-March 11.

Pisces: March 11-April 18.

Aries: April 18-May 13.

Taurus: May 13-June 21.

Gemini: June 21-July 20.

Cancer: July 20-Aug. 10.

Leo: Aug. 10-Sept. 16.

Virgo: Sept. 16-Oct. 30.

Libra: Oct. 30-Nov. 23.

Scorpio: Nov. 23-29.

Ophiuchus: Nov. 29-Dec. 17.

Sagittarius: Dec. 17-Jan. 20.

When I first found out about this I laughed out loud and thought “well this sucks for the majority of people who have a personal zodiac tattoo.”

CNN blogged today that the zodiac has not changed http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2011/01/13/no-your-zodiac-sign-hasnt-changed/ my response to this is WHO CARES!!!  I find it more worrisome that CNN felt that the words of an astrologer was important enough to be spoken on Cable News Network.

About Bobby the Paranormal Skeptic
Bobby Nelson is a skeptic, writer, and co-host of Strange Frequencies Radio. His personal blog can be found online at www.porkrhine.com At one time, Bobby was what could be called a "true believer" in paranormal phenomenon. Having been an active investigator of the paranormal for 12 years with several different Toledo based teams, he has examined countless claims of activity. But years worth of research and investigation proved to him that the evidence for these claims are generally lacking and, furthermore, the vast majority of so-called scientific paranormal investigators were using improper methodologies which caused them to draw both false and misleading conclusions.
